Gain essential life-saving skills with our First Aid Training Course, designed to prepare individuals, workplaces, and communities across India to respond effectively to medical emergencies. This course equips participants with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to manage sudden illness or injury until professional medical help arrives.

Aligned with recognised first aid and emergency response best practices, the training focuses on identifying emergencies, assessing casualties, and providing immediate and appropriate care in workplace, community, and home settings. Emphasis is placed on calm decision-making, safety, and acting confidently during critical moments.

Delivered through engaging, hands-on sessions, this course teaches core life-saving techniques such as CPR, AED use, and essential first aid treatments. Participants are trained to manage common medical and injury-related emergencies including choking, bleeding, burns, fractures, and shock. The course also addresses situations commonly encountered in India, ensuring practical relevance for everyday environments.

In addition to physical first aid skills, the training highlights effective communication during emergencies, coordination with local emergency services, and the importance of post-incident awareness and reporting. By the end of the course, participants are better prepared not only to respond, but to do so responsibly and confidently.

  • Through hands-on and theory-based learning, participants will learn how to:

    • Performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) on adults, children, and infants

    • Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

    • Managing choking, bleeding, shock, fractures, sprains, and burns

    • Providing care for asthma and severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis)

    • Safely handling snake bites, insect stings, and other common Indian emergencies

    • Contacting and coordinating with local emergency services effectively

  • This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.

  • Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.

    • Refresher Face to Face contact time of at least 6 Hours

    • Blended Face to Face contact time of at least 6 Hours

    • Face-to-Face Face to Face contact time of at least 7 Hours 30 Mins

    • Online with face-to-face assessment Face to Face contact time of at least 1 Hour

  • Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and performing rescue breathing techniques on manikins.  

    Online study:  Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.

  • Performance tasks and practical scenarios:

    • Perform CPR on an adult (incl. the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position)

    • Complete a first aid incident report form based on the simulated first aid scenario

    • Perform CPR on an infant

    • Manage a casualty with anaphylaxis

    • Manage a casualty with asthma

    • Manage a choking casualty

    • Manage a casualty with non-life-threatening bleeding and shock, requiring minor wound cleaning

    • Manage a casualty with a nosebleed

    • Manage a casualty with a fracture and dislocation

    • Manage a casualty with a sprain and strain

    • Manage a casualty with envenomation (snake/ funnel-web spider bite)

    Theory assessment: A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
